Samsung Galaxy S9, Galaxy S8 Available With Discounts, Cashback, Other Offers Ahead of Independence Day

Ahead of India's Independence Day this month, South Korean consumer electronics 

giant Samsung has announced special offers on its smartphones. Under the Samsung 

Independence Day Sale, the company is also giving offers on TVs, appliances, wearables, 

and audio accessories. During the sale, buyers can avail discounts, cashback, and 

exchange offers on select Samsung smartphones and other electronics.Smartphones in the 

Samsung Independence Day Sale include select handsets in the Galaxy S9 series, Galaxy

S8 series, Galaxy On series, 


The Samsung Independence Day Sale is being held from August 1 to August 5 and buyers will 

get a 5 percent cashback or up to Rs. 500 via Paytm. The key highlight of the sale is the 

offers on the Samsung Galaxy S9 lineup.The Galaxy S9+ is available on the Samsung Shop 

for Rs.64,990, which is Rs. 4,000 less than the launch price. Notably, only the 128GB inbuilt 

storage variant, which was launched in March this year, is available in the sale. Additionally, 

Galaxy S9+ buyers can avail a Rs. 3,000 instant cashback and Rs. 6,000 cashback on 

HDFC Bank credit cards. Also, there are offers from telcos like Airtel, Jio, and Vodafone. 

Buyers can also avail an additional Rs. 6,000 exchange value on select models.


Meanwhile, under the Samsung Independence Day Sale, the price of the Galaxy S9 starts 

at Rs. 57,900. While the price of the smartphone hasn't changed, there are additional 

benefits that Samsung is offering as a part of the sale. Samsung is providing an instant 

cashback of Rs. 6,000 for the 128GB and 256GB inbuilt storage variants of the Galaxy S9, 

while the 64GB model buyers will get an instant cashback of Rs. 5,000. Additionally, buyers 

can avail a Rs. 6,000 cashback on HDFC credit cards and the offers from Airtel, Jio, and 

Vodafone are applicable here as well. Buyers can also avail an additional Rs. 6,000 

exchange value on select models


Further, Samsung has also mentioned offers on the Galaxy S8 lineup. The price of Galaxy

S8 starts at Rs. 45,990 and Galaxy S8+ at Rs. 51,990. Both the smartphones are available 

with an instant cashback of Rs. 4,000 and additional Rs. 4,000 cashback with HDFC Bank 

credit cards.


Under the Samsung Independence Day Sale, the other offers on smartphones include 

the Galaxy On Max, Galaxy On7 Prime (64GB variant), Galaxy On Nxt (64GB variant), Galaxy

On7 Pro, Galaxy J3 Pro, Galaxy On5 Pro, and Galaxy On5. All the smartphones are now 

available at a discounted price.


Coming to the other offers, Samsung is providing discounts on wearables like Gear S3, 

Gear Sport, Gear VR 4, and Gear Fit 2 Pro. The price of Gear S3 is listed as Rs. 24,500 

down from Rs. 28,500. The Gear Sport is available at Rs. 18,990 down from Rs. 22,990 and 

the Gear VR 4 is priced at Rs. 7,999 (MRP Rs. 9,900). Finally, the Gear Fit 2 Pro is available 

at Rs. 10,990 (MRP Rs. 13,490). Additionally, there are deals on audio devices like JBL Flip

4, JBL Pulse 3, JBL Xtreme, JBL Charge 3, and more. As mentioned, there are offers 

on TVs, refridgerators, washing machines, microwave, and ACs as well.
